How long do you need to be in the home?

Houses take between 1 and 5 hours to scan, depending on square footage. A good rule of thumb is about 2.5 hours for a 2,000 sq. ft. house. A condo is likely closer to 1.5 hours. A bigger, 3,500 sq. ft. house could take 3 to 4 hours.

How long does processing take?

3D models are processed and posted, and a link provided within 36 hours- although they are often completed within 4-5 hours of scanning!

Can I combine with a photo shoot?

Yes. We offer professional listing photography with a variety of customizable options, and we can schedule a photo shoot and 3D scan session so that they occur in one, extended visit. *Please note that we only offer photography as an add-on to Matterport, photography is not available on it’s own.

Where can the 3D model be seen?

Pacific Showings provides a url for you to embed the 3D model directly into any site of your choosing: NWMLS, Zillow, broker website, social media, and more.

What should we do to prepare the home?

The home should be clean and free from clutter,a ll of the lights should be turned on. Please have these items completed before your scheduled time. The Matterport camera is very sensitive, and timing is crucial, to ensure that we are able to capture the home. In order to ensure the safety of our team and our equipment, we request that pets be removed from the home for the duration of our visit. Although the sellers, agent, etc. are welcome to be present, we request that they remain away from the area currently in the scanning process, and follow the dorection of our Matterport Specialist when it is time to change rooms. Don't worry this is all easier than it sounds!

What is the best time to scan the home?

The tour should be scheduled during daylight hours. However, the specialized camera has many tiny sensors that can be "blinded" by too much sunl ight, so it is often best to schedule early in the morning or in the evening. Weather, time of year, and other specifics in the home can affect optimal timing as well as how long your session will take. Your Matterport Specialist will guide you through this.
